Mission in Action

Our Annual Report highlights how the YMCA Northern Sky is strengthening communities, supporting families, and creating opportunities for individuals of all ages across the region.

In 2025, our branches in Fargo, West Fargo, and Fergus Falls welcomed more than 627,000 visits, providing spaces where people can connect, grow, and thrive. Through our youth programs, camps, child care services, wellness offerings, and community outreach initiatives, we continued our commitment to helping children, families, and communities reach their full potential.

This report shares the stories and outcomes behind that work—from helping nearly 3,900 youth build confidence through sports and camps, to providing more than $556,000 in child care scholarships and assistance for working families. It also highlights our efforts to nourish communities through more than 632,000 meals and snacks served and to promote safety through swim programs that reached over 3,200 youth.

Whether you are a member, donor, volunteer, community partner, or simply interested in learning more about our mission, this report offers a year-in-review of the impact we are making together and the lives being changed every day through the YMCA.

For All

The YMCA is for everyone. The Y is made up of people of all ages and from every walk of life working side by side to strengthen communities. Together we work to ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender identity, ideology, income, national origin, race, or sexual orientation has the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity. Our core values are caring, honesty, respect and responsibility – and they guide everything we do.

Our programs, services and initiatives enable kids to realize their potential, offer ways for families to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body; prepare people for employment, welcome and embrace newcomers and help foster a community-wide service ethic. And that’s just the beginning.
