Group Fitness Classes & Programs
At the Y, a supportive community is a big part of wellness.
The YMCA offers 100+ weekly group fitness classes for all ages, all levels and all interests. From spirit, mind and body classes like yoga and BODYBALANCE® to high-intensity cardio and strength training, like Cycling and BODYPUMP,® we’ve got something for everyone. We hope you’ll find a class that’s fun, fits your schedule, and keeps you moving. Classes are included in membership and are offered at all of our YMCA locations.

YMCA Group Fitness Classes are for ages 15+. Youth ages 12-14 can earn access into Group Fitness Classes within arms-length of a parent/guardian, or unsupervised after completing the Y’s Youth Exercise Concepts Course, which consists of a one-hour session with a fitness associate.
Class Formats
BODYBALANCE™ is Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling calm. Controlled breathing, concentration, and a carefully structured series of stretches/poses brings the body into a state of harmony.
BODYCOMBAT™ is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout. Punch and kick your way to fitness. No experience needed. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, & Capoeira
BODYPUMP™ is for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. Instructors will coach you through scientifically proven moves and techniques.
BODYSTEP™ In a BODYSTEP workout you can expect a mixture of upbeat, rhythmic stepping, with squat and lunge patterns to work the legs. Combine this with movements like pushups and weight plate exercises to enhance strength.
CORE™ workout designed to build strength, stability and endurance in the muscles that support your core, including the abdominals, glutes and back muscles. Equipment such as resistance bands and weight plates are used throughout class.
Cycle: Cycling uses all the major lower-body muscles - the glutes, hamstrings, quads, shins and calves, focusing on endurance, strength, intervals, high intensity (race days) and recovery. Great for all fitness levels from beginner to advanced.
Hiit Variety A mix of strength & cardio using high intensity intervals to get your heart rate up and burn extra calories!
LES MILLS SHAPES™ is a fitness program that combines Pilates, barre, and power yoga into a full-body, low-impact workout. It focuses on sculpting and strengthening muscles through controlled movements and high repetition, using techniques like pulsing and isometric holds. The workout is designed to be accessible to all fitness levels.
Strong by Zumba is a high intensity interval class — think burpees, pushups, and other high-impact moves — that's synced to high energy music!
XaBeat® is a dance-fitness program. Participants sculpt their bodies and burn calories while dancing in a fun atmosphere. No previous dance background is needed.
XaBeat Lite® is designed to be a fun, calorie-burning workout that utilizes dance and fitness moves set to popular music.
Yoga - designed to build strength and knowledge of foundation poses. This practice links breath to movement for mind-body connection. All levels of yogi’s welcome!
Aquatic Class Formats
Aqua Zumba is classic aqua aerobics with Latin flavor added. You perform large muscle movements by reaching your arms and lifting your legs in the water, as well as circling your hips and shoulders.
Deep Water Class - Participants will use flotation belts and water equipment to perform a variety of motions including water walking and running, abdominal work and toning exercises.
Hydro Conditioning - An aquatics class that improves endurance through aerobic and strengthening workout, along with opportunities for increased range of motion and balance. This class is held in the water.
Water In Motion - For those trying to improve their cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and range of motion through continuous resistance and limited impact. This class is held in the aquatics center.
SilverSneakers® & Active Aging Class Formats
Active Aging Dance - Learn fun and trending dance sequences. This class focuses on memorization of dance moves and works balance for the aging population.
Active Aging Tai Chi – Tai Chi for active older adults is a gentle, low-impact exercise program that adapts the traditional slow, graceful movements of Tai Chi to be performed entirely while sitting in a chair.
SilverSneakers® Classic - Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with choreography. This class includes chair exercise options.
SilverSneakers® Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing poses. Postures are designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises will promote mental clarity. This class includes chair exercise options.
