As part of our commitments to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, we want to help kids grow and thrive by ensuring access to healthy meals – regardless of their family’s financial status. Learn more about each of our food program options below!


Teen Meals

Sept 2025 - May 2026
Schlossman YMCA
Supper  |  Mon - Fri  |  6:30 - 7:30 pm (*new time)
Lunch  |  Sat & Sun  |  11 AM - NOON
Details:

  • This pilot food program provides healthy meals to teens age 13-18 free of charge
  • Pre-registration is not required
  • Teens do not need to be a Y Member 
  • Please stop at the Schlossman YMCA Member Services Desk
  • Meals are in prepacked bags, and must be consumed on site
  • No take out available

Schlossman YMCA is located at 4243 19th Ave S, Fargo.
MAT Bus Routes 14 & 24 service Schlossman YMCA directly, but most other routes stop at the West Acres hub, which is in walking distance.


Summer Meal Program

We help kids reach their full potential by participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). We provide FREE healthy breakfasts and lunches in Cass and Clay Counties to ALL children up to age 18 at NO CHARGE when school is out for the summer. All meals meet standards established by the USDA.

  • Eastwood Elementary, West Fargo
  • YMCA South Learning Center at Urban Plains, Fargo
  • Brunsdale Park, Fargo
  • South Park, West Fargo

Rural Route, ND & MN Sites

We provide FREE healthy meals to ALL children up to age 18 at NO CHARGE. One week of meals will be available at each site weekly throughout the summer (7 meal bags, 7 breakfasts, and 7 lunches). Meals do not need to be consumed on site. An adult may pick up the meals with prior approval. All meals meet standards established by the USDA.

This summer, we successfully distributed an incredible 96,898 meals (breakfast and lunch) to children in these rural areas.
